Statement on Withdrawal from Alberta

Edmonton, Alberta -- Matthew Cressatti wishes to make the following statement:

“Following discussions with my family and with Allison, I am pleased and excited to announce that I have accepted an offer to join Miller Thomson LLP as a litigation associate in its Toronto office. I take this position with the full support and love of my family and of Allison.

“I wish to thank all of you for your assistance and support, in large ways and small, over the last few months as I have explored and considered various opportunities to continue to develop my practice. While I am saddened to be leaving the great province of Alberta, I look forward to returning to my ancestral homeland, the Greater Toronto Area. I also look forward to reconnecting with those of you who have remained in the Toronto region.

Statement on Travel During COVID-19 by Matthew Cressatti

Edmonton International Airport, Alberta -- Upon returning to Alberta today, Matthew Cressatti issued the following statement:

“Over the winter holidays, I travelled back to my native Thornhill to visit friends and family. While I have since been recalled and chastised by the Leader, I would like to let all Edmontonians know that I complied with local COVID restrictions and took great precautions.

“I remain committed to upholding the values of everyday, hardworking Edmontonians and doing everything we can to combat this virus.”
